Thank you for writing this. I had an online discussion just this week on why black people don’t like white people who wear locs. And of course, on cue, I got the same vitriol about it being “just hair” and “Vikings.” And also a white washed version of what Bob Marley believed.

So thanks for recognizing the importance of hair to the people in the African diaspora.
