One of my favorite talking points is when an anti-minimum wager suggests people go to school, but not THAT type of school. Because if you ask them why people with graduate degrees suffer, it’ll be because “they didn’t pick a practical career.”

Many conservatives push the trades as some saving grace out of poverty, but the reason they trades pay highly has a lot to do with unions, which many conservatives are also against.

So which is it? And why don’t people, regardless of their job, deserve a living wage?
